Welcome from the Star Trek Service Record Simulator Game Master!

Welcome to the Star Trek Service Record Simulator and thank you for visiting!  I am the Service Record Simulator Game Master and would like to welcome you to our website.  This simulator was designed over a twenty-year period and is an extremely realistic interpretation of how a personnel record of a Starfleet member would appear, based on actual real world military service records.

Your Game Master served a career as a personnel officer in the United States Navy Reserve, where I was directly involved with efforts of the Bureau of Naval Personnel to redesign Navy service records in the early 2000s; first from paper to CD and finally to completely electronic service records.  In addition, I was a military personnel records expert at the National Personnel Records Center where I viewed, studied, and learned about every possible service record type from the late 19th century through the early 21st century from all branches of the United States armed forces.

My earliest memories of Star Trek are from the year 1982 when I saw what I later learned were the last few minutes of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan on the Movie Channel.  When I was nine, I recall seeing advertisements for the release of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and in 1986 I watched my first Star Trek episode, "The Squire of Gothos".  I was a regular Star Trek fan by the following year just in time for the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

By the time I was in college I had seen all the new release Star Trek films (up to that point) in the theater.  In 1995, after winning a writing contest hosted by the producers of Deep Space Nine, I was deeply honored to be a contributing writer for the episode "Homefront".  Four years later I wrote a script for Star Trek: Voyager, which was slated to be produced, but the series ended before my work could make it to the TV screen.

Over the years I've been privileged to meet several Star Trek actors and actresses and in two cases got to know very well two guests stars from the Original Series (Ralph Maurer and Judi Sherven).  I'm also a professional author, both fiction and non-fiction, with my first major science novel due out mid-2026.  Thank you again for visiting our website, please considering joining the simulator by creating a character!
