The Starfleet Yeoman Course was originally created as a three-week administrative procedures class in March 2141 and was designed for Starfleet crewman assigned the rate of Yeoman and officers holding administrative billets.  In May 2142 this course was discontinued and divided into two new training courses independently for officers and enlisted personnel. The current Yeoman Course is five weeks in length and considered the primary rate training for those crewman holding the enlisted rate of Yeoman.
