The Starfleet Space Welder Course is an advanced training curriculum which certifies Starfleet shipyard personnel to operate welding equipment in space. The course provides instruction in the fundamental welding methods employed in vacuum environments, with emphasis on procedures used in the construction, fitting, and repair of starships in orbital and shipyard settings. Upon completion, students are certified as space welders by the United Earth Ministry of Labor and Industry.
