Draylaxian
The Draylax Clad is a feudal society centered upon several clans of feline humanoids on the planet Draylax. For several centuries, Draylax experienced strife and war but in the seventeenth century the planet unified under a central governing council. Since then, Draylax has become relatively peaceful although the planet itself is considered harsh and inhospitable, with several deep jungles containing dangerous and often deadly wildlife.

Although a somewhat inhospitable world, Draylax itself is viewed as a democratic society with great freedom for its inhabitants. The various clan clads, once hereditary in their leadership, are now elected by several local councils, with a planetary government then endorsed by these local representatives. Draylax is also a somewhat wealthy planet, existing on the major Vega-Draylax trade route, and hosts a considerable amount of trade and commerce.

PLANETARY INFORMATION
Native Draylax life is mostly feline in nature, and several species of jungle cats, some large and others relatively small, exist in the planet’s many dense jungles. The Draylaxian Pounce Cat is one such animal (see insert), living in the swamps of the planet and considered one of the more dangerous breeds of wildlife. The Draylaxians themselves are also feline, with the females known for having three mammalian glands, something which visitors to the planet often find enthralling.
