STARFLEET TRAINING CENTER
The Starfleet Training Center is the location of the primary Starfleet training facility for all Starfleet personnel as well as the headquarters for the Starfleet Training Command. The Starfleet Training Center is often referred to as "the STC" to distinguish it from the similarly named Starfleet Training Command. The STC is located on the San Francisco Presideo, adjacent to Starfleet Headquarters.
The main building for the Starfleet Training Center houses the primary Starfleet training schools while the adjacent office complex contains the Starfleet Induction Center and the headquarters of Starfleet Training Command. An attached medical clinic offers pre-induction physicals for prospective recruits.

The original Starfleet Training Center was opened in September 2139. By 2142, the complex had been expanded to include a medical clinic as well as the Starfleet Induction Center where prospective recruits could be enlisted directly into Starfleet with only minimal actions at a Starfleet Recruiting Office. In July 2145 several temporary structures were placed surrounding a large field to the south of the Starfleet Training Center main building. This area became the "Training Center Annex" and a month later was designated as berthing and academic buildings to accommodate the Starfleet Operations College.
