Delta II is a barren frozen world first visited by explorers from the Deltan homeworld in the mid eighteenth century. The planet consists of deep-frozen valleys and ice mountains, surrounding which are several large plateaus upon which the majority of settlements on Delta II have been constructed.

The ice world of Delta II is primarily known for hosting scientific research stations as well as a series of “arctic monasteries” in which Deltans purify their thoughts and feelings and embrace inner emotions. As this process normally involves a massive release of Deltan pheromones, which can easily overwhelm other species, off-worlders visiting Delta II is extremely rare. The majority of Deltan settlements are build atop large open ice plateaus primarily to harness the wind power of gusts which cross the plateaus at close to two hundred miles per hour.
Traveling into the planet’s ice valleys is difficult due to extremely low temperatures, however there are a handful of isolated scientific research stations which exist in these areas. The arctic mountain ranges are generally uninhabited; however on the peaks of certain summits the Deltan government has constructed various relay monitoring stations to make communication across the frozen world easier for its inhabitants.
