Rigel IV is a lush green world with deep river valleys and a thriving eco-system. The Rigelian Trade Consortium maintains several small surface colonies while most of the planet is inhabited by the reptilian Chelon.

The surface of Rigel IV holds no oceans, but rather several large rivers cutting through valleys in between vast mountain ranges surrounded by lush green plains. The planet’s native inhabitants, the Chelon, exist at a technology level equivalent to the 14th century Middle Ages, but are aware of and frequently trade with Rigelian colonists.
Colonists from Rigelia first settled Rigel IV in the early 2000s and since then have established several towns and colonies centered around farming areas. The native Chelon occupy river valleys and associated hill country, such as the Argus River Region, and are known for high quality craftwork and frequently trade with the Rigelians. A negative aspect of Rigel IV is the disease Rigelian Fever, which originates in the marshes around the planet’s river and has since spread off world to cause several epidemics.
